Subdomains vs. Addon Domains

What is the difference?

  • Subdomain: A prefix to your main domain (e.g., blog.yoursite.com). It usually shares the same document root parent.
  • Addon Domain: A completely separate website (e.g., another-site.com) hosted on the same account.

Manage both from the Domains section in SPanel.
