Error 403 Forbidden

Problem: You see a "403 Forbidden" error when visiting your site.

Possible Causes & Solutions

  1. Incorrect File Permissions: Folders should be 755 and files 644. Use File Manager to Fix Permissions.
  2. Corrupt .htaccess: Rename your .htaccess file to .htaccess_bak to see if the site loads. If it does, the error is in your rules.
  3. Empty Directory: Ensure you have an index.php or index.html file in your public_html folder.
