Radio Stream Stuttering or Buffering

Problem: Listeners hear skips or frequent buffering.

Causes

  • Upload Speed: If you are live broadcasting, your internet upload speed must be stable. Do not use WiFi if possible.
  • Bitrate Too High: Broadcasting at 320kbps requires a very fast connection. Try lowering to 128kbps.
  • CPU Usage: If your PC is slow, the encoder (Mixxx) cannot send data fast enough. Close other apps.
